Emilee and FiFi

First Snow

Welcome to American Elizabeth Yuan Na

My friend Mercia just came home from China with her second daughter; Elizabeth Yuan Na. ( her first daughter is Natalie who is from Vietnam---holding Elizabeth) Elizabeth is from Xian, China and is 3 1/2 years old. Like the Terra Cotter Soliders that her home town is known for, Eizabth is a strong, spirited, independent and enchanting child. Besides for the fact that she can not speak English ( she has been home less than a week and she is picking it up fast---did I tell you that she is also very smart) you would never know that she spent her first 3 1/2 years in an orphanage. She has bonded beautiuflly to her new family and has settled into her new life as if she has always been there. Elizabeth came from an amazing orpjanage that took wonderful care of her. Mercia was telling me that all the children looked so happy and developmentally on taget. That the staff regually hiugged and coddled them and did a multitude of activities with them. The most anazing thing was a gift that the orphanage staff gave to Mercia. They presented her with a beautiful photo album of pictures and letters of Elizabeth and her fellow Orphanage friends from the time she first came to them. Im the pictures you can see that Elizabeth was very well taken care of. Birthday parties, arts and crafts, swimming in a pool, playing with her friends. In each picture, Elizabeth has a hugh smile on her face.
Natalie has been an amazing big sister. It has been a big adjustment for her, but she is handeling it beautifully.
WELCOME TO AMERICA AND YOUR NEW FAMILY ELIZABETH YUAN NA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
