Our very own All-Star
CONGRATULATIONS JOSEPHON MAKING ALL-STARS
We are all very proud of Joseph ( my nephew) on being one of the few to have been picked to play in the Football All-Star game in Baltimore Thanksgiving weekend.
He has done amazingly all year playing football and his hard work and dedication payed off
Also, Congratulations on your team winning the All-Star game.

Xiu xiu's pink tree
This is the first year that Emilee has been beginning to understand that holidays have meanings. she delighted in dressing in costumes for Halloween, gloried in cooking for thanksgiving and she is in awe with the lights and pageantry that the Christmas season brings. Every time she sees bright shining lights she screams " Mama, is Christmas" and her face glows as bright as the lights itself. i take such delight in watching her marvel at all the seasons around her. To me this is the real meaning of childhood, when a string of bright shining lights can create an illusion of joy an peace and sugar plum fairies dance in their heads. To be a child again and see the world as it should be---- pure and beautiful.
While shopping the other day, Emilee saw this pink tree and exclaimed "Xiu Xiu's tree". looking at her face i knew had to buy it. It is a pink 2 foot tinsel tree that looks like it came out of a Madonna video in the 80's. but Emilee loved it. when we arrived home and began to put up the tree, Emilee could not have been more excited. She delighted in placing each ornament on its own special branch. And at times became entrance by the lights strung on the tree. but when the star was ready to go on tome, Emilee placed it with great pride and exclaimed 'happy" What a perfect start to the holiday season.
