Why isnt Big Bird in the alphabet?

Emilee and I were driving in the car coming home from school and she was in the back singing the Alphabet song over and over again

Emilee: Mommy why isn't Big Bird in the alphabet?

Very confused and trying very hard to figure out what she meant

Me: Big Bird sings the alphabet on TV is that what you mean?

Emilee: No, Elmo is in the alphabet but not Big Bird!!!!!!

Me: Do you mean in a book or on TV?

Emilee: ( A very Big) No

Emilee: The song goes H I J K ELMO P

A treasure via the internet and a wonderful friend

Gisella, mom to the beautiful Olivia of Xuwen, just sent me these amazing pictures taken three years ago when were were in china getting our greatest treasures. The above one is of my Mom and Emilee ( the day she turned 9 months) and the one below is of Emilee and i sitting with Elegant Gesilla and gorgeous Olivia the day of our Red Couch pictures, To the right of us is Patrick and beautiful Meredith ( who with her Mom will be coming for a visit in 2 weeks time). Gesilla, I can not thank you enough for these photos. I love them.

Buddies

These pictures touches my heart. Emilee and her Poppy have such a sweet bond. They both get so excited when they see each other. The cutest is when they tease each other. They often end up laughing so hard their tummies hurt.

Last week we went shopping at Wegmans. Emilee loves Wegmans, they have a place that the kids can go and play while their parents shop, a sort of day care. Emilee calls it CAMP WEGMAN. She gets so excited when we go there , she cant wait to play in the play room. By this point the staff knows Emilee well. She calls them her playmates. It really is a fun place for kids.

After we went shopping and retrieved Emilee, Poppy and Emilee were discussing Emilees Adventures in WegmanLand. I was walking ahead of them looking for my car when i heard " Wheeeeeeeeeeeee, Faster Poppy, Faster". I looked back and this is what I saw, Poppy and Emilee racing around the parking lot. What a sight. It brought the biggest smile to my face.

This was actually the first time I saw Xiu Xiu but I didn't realize it until a few months ago. Call it, The lost footage. A few months ago i was working on a video of my Journey to Jin Xiu, when I realized I had taken video of Children being brought into the Civil Affairs Office. I slowed the footage down and to my surprise they were our children. here is Emilee being carried into the building.I can not tell you how precious this picture, and footage , is to me. Every so often someone from our group in China sends me a picture of Emilee that was taken during our trip and its like receiving a treasure. Its the greatest gift i can get. ( Hint Hint to anyone that may have pictures out there)
