I want it done and I want it done now!!!!!!

This weekend, we went to have our holiday photos taken. Trying to get two active boys who would rather play football and one toddler who has her own agenda to take one perfect picture is a contradiction of terms. Here is one of the photos that did not make the final cut, but I think its a great shot of all of them.

Once upon a time there was a women that looked up at the moon And wondered what secrets it was hiding The moon stared back at her and smiled A sweet mysterious smile And illuminated the night until dawn The women was very happy and to the world she had it all But deep down inside her there was still a void and a calling A void that no one could see A calling that wondered what could be Although this woman did not know what she longed for She knew that somehow there was a journey in store She traveled the world, tried numerous hobbies and even studied a variety of subject But every night when she looked at the moon She knew she was not yet there Then one day it came to her in the most unusual way It was through the smile of a baby and a look in its eyes that showed her the map to its way At that moment, she knew why the moon had meant so much For it shined all over the world and held a magic touch It held in its glow, a secret that only a moon could know A secret that was now ready to glow And so the journey began in it own little way To search for the perfect gem For coal when its shined has a gift of its own And a precious diamond with in And the paper work came in mountains and stacks And was completed and stamped and sent off And when all hope was lost That the sun would never shine A ray of light burst into the night A picture had come of a beautiful girl A treasure with raven black hair The women looked at the picture and tears came to her eyes For she realized that it was a picture of her heart So off on the silver stork she flew To a land far far away To collect her bundle and bring her home It was now a new bright shining day When the women walked into the room And saw her angles amber eyes and raven hair Her eyes filled with tears that floated down her cheek For she knew that her wish was finally here. When the little girl was placed in the women’s hands And the two finally became one The moon and sun smiled as only they can For they knew that their journey had only begun The women could not believe that such joy and happiness could possibily be Wrapped up inside a little girl name Emilee When the sun finally set And the moon rose high in the night sky The women looked up and saw the same familiar smile and finally understood why The moon held its secret and knew the women’s fate For it also shined over the little girl that belonged to the family it would create The moon watched over this child As it did the women too It created a miracle that finally came true. And they lived happily ever after Is what most fairy tales say But this is just the beginning of a bright shining day For the two completed each other and brought joy to the moon. So the moon said goodnight little one And come visit me soon.

Stars So Bright

From her small bed, she gazed out the window, at a star so bright, and wondered if her baby girl's eyes still shone with such light.

She had left her in the early dawn at the steps of the orphanage quite far from her village, and waited in the cloak of barely light to see someone come upon the sight. Of a baby girl placed just so; oh, how she didn't want her to go, but she knew it was for the best. She had been told that her girl might have a chance for a better life, far away from the boating village and farmlands that were their only means of existence.

Now she could only look up at the sky and dream about the beautiful eyes that had looked upon her that one last time. A mommy far away gazed in her daughter's eyes so bright with a smile of delight; How did she get to be so lucky to have such a beautiful child?; one that was just right for herself.

Her daughter's eyes were so bright that she could light up a room with just one smile.

She had been given a star so bright to nurture and raise---to make sure that the star never lost its light. She thought about it both day and night; they had to make sure that the light always shone ---to its brightest of all potential. What a gift and what a challenge she had been given. As she looked up into the night, she wished upon a star so bright, to guide them through her daughter's Life. To make them ever so wiser that they would do everything right. She placed that wish upon the star so bright................ "Mommy, why do stars shine so bright", asked her little girl one night. "Because they are filled with the hopes and dreams placed on them each night," her mommy said. "Look up into the sky at that star shining oh so bright. That is the one that Mommy wished on for you each night. Now it is filled with all of the hopes, dreams, and love that Mommy has had for you over the years---it can't help but shine so bright!!! With that, the Mommy and her daughter went inside for the night. .........guided by the light of the star shining oh so bright.

This weekend, my nephews wanted to go to the Pumpkin Patch. So we went back again We all had a great time. The patch has a haunted house ( I didn't go in, but the boys say it was a hit) and a few rides including a bouncer. All three of them went on the bouncer together. It was a riot to watch. The boys are so gentle with Emilee. They really are wonderful big cousins.

Another Day another Pumpkin Patch

I am beginning to think that Emilee thinks we go to a Pumpkin Patch every day. I went to my friend Staceys house for a play date with her daughter Lauren, and she thought it would be fun to take the kids Pumpkin Picking. I knew Emilee would have a great time so I said "Why Not". Our Other friend Jen and her daughter Sofia joined us. The kids really did have a great time. The pumpkin Patch even had a petting Zoo which was a nice treat.
