Here Comes the Easter Bunny...

What to Pre school kids talk about? The answer today was The Easter Bunny at the Mall. Thank g-d for the Pre-school Rumor mill or I would be out of the loop of kid happenings. Emilee walked out of school holding her friend Graces hand and declared to Graces mom and i that the Easter Bunny and a train were at the mall and they had to go. " All the other kids have seen the Bunny" declared one of them. Dawn and I looked at each other and said " I guess we know where we are going". Last year Emilee was petrified of the Easter bunny. In fact if I went to the mall around Easter last year i had to use a different entrance and use the top floor to get from one side to the other so as not to see the Easter Bunny. This year, Emilee sang the Easter Bunny is Coming to Town the whole way to the Mall and she dashed to get a prime spot in line to get a chance to meet him. Its amazing how a kid changes in a year.
A very happy girl
After she took her picture with the easter Bunny she asked if the easter Bunny and Santa are friends. I guess the answer is yes. Santa, the Easter Bunny, Hanakah Harry and the Tooth Fairy must all live on the same block.

Emilee's school is across the street from Barnes and Nobel. After I pick her up from school we often go into the book store to brows, listen to book readings or have snacks at Starbucks located inside the book store. Almost always we come home with a new addition to our library. I love the fact that Emilee loves books. From a very early age she loved looking at the written word and would often walk around with a novel at 14+ months. Pretending to read. Now a days she loves to make up stories of her own and have me write them down for her. A few days ago when we were in the book store she said to me " Mommy, will my stories be here one day".
Sweetie, I hope so.
