DUTCH WONDERLAND

I love taking Emilee to placed that i went to as a kid. We had family in York, Pennsylvania and whenever we visited we would stop in Lancaster or Hersey to have a little fun. One of the places we went to was Dutch Wonderland. Since it was a nice weekend, we decided to take Emilee. She loved it. For those that don't know what Dutch Wonderland is its and Amusement park with a Fairytale Theme.
Princes Brook greeted us
We never did get the Princes name
Emilee and Duke the Dragon
Mining for stones
One of Emilee's Passions is rocks and stones.
When we saw this mining booth we had to stop. You buy a bag of dirt and rock and they dump it into a sift. Then you take the sift and run it back and forth in the water until you uncover all the beautifully colored rocks. To watch Emilee you would think she struck gold.
THE PARACHUTE JUMP
How far am I going up?
Wow, this is high!!!
That was fun can we do it again..
My Brother and I have a picture on the same horse.
Ill post it when I find it
Remind me when she is older to take away the keys..

IT HAPPENS IN THREEs...

They say things happen in threes, so i hope that's it for me. We had a major Thunderstorm last week and it surged my Cable boxes and my Lap Top. I had to trade in my Cable Boxes for new ones ( not a big deal) and Replace my Computer. (BIG DEAL). I lost everything and was without a computer for two weeks. I was not a happy camper. Then today I went to take a picture of Emilee and my good Camera is broken. It is turning on and off. The battery is charged so I'm not sure what the problem is. ( My other camera was stolen from my bag at the beginning of the summer----does that make it four---YIKES!!!!)

A TREASURE CHEST TO HOLD LOVE FROM FAR AWAY

This past school year Emilee learned about mail and pen pals. One of her schools activities was to have her classmates ask people to be their Pen-Pals. We sent out many Drawings that Emilee made and we are happy to say almost everyone sent a letter back. Emilee ran to the mail box everyday to look and see if she had mail. Every time she received a letter she jumped up and down and screamed with glee. Emilee would carry her letters everywhere and would show them to everyone she encountered. ( Whether they were interested or not). Emilee loved getting and sending mail so much that we continued the project and have kept up correspondence with many of the original people. What is so cool is that we have pen pals from all over the world. Ninon of France, Meredith of England, Julia of Singapore.... Emilee loves looking at the stamps and going to the globe to identify where the letter originated. (One of Emilee's most diligent Pen-Pals is Julia from Singapore. Every day Emilee draws pictures and asks if we can send it to Julia. My Mailman must be wondering why there is a letter in our mail box going to Singapore almost everyday. Thank you Julia and Kathleen for all of your beautiful pictures and letters. Emilee and i appreciate everyone of them.) Emilee wanted a special place to keep her letters so we made a love box. Its a wood treasure chest that we decorated with shinny and sparkly jewels. She loves to open it and look through her letters. It trully is a box filled with love.

MOVIE NIGHT

What can be more fun than Movies and Dress-up. Emilee and i decided that we wanted to watch Pocahontas. I made the pop Corn and went to put the movie in the DVD when Emilee came down stairs dressed as a little Native American. We decided to enhance the outfit with face paint. yes i had it on also, and No you will not see pictures.

This is such an Emilee face..
