THE RIVERDALE BENEFIT FOR LITERACY

Its here again.  The Riverdale Benefit for Literacy.  This is such an amazing cause run my my cousins company that raises money for children in impoverished areas to expand their literary education. As always Emilee was a hit.  The staff has watched her grow and they make such a fuss about her.  This year she ventured off on her own to talk to the authors who were signing books to give her two cents on ideas for upcoming novels.  It was amazing to stand back and listen.  Emilee did not speak until she was three so to hear her chat it up with famous authors and really hold her own makes me so proud and in awe of her.

My cousins Helene and her daughter Gayla came in from South Africa and have been staying with us.  It has been wonderful having them here.Its a shame we live so far away and visits are so far between.
