Emilee weaving yarn into her Tartan Cowl

While seaching though archives my friend found this photo that was published in THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS.  It was taken at the opening of the Rose garden at the New York Botanical Gardens when Emilee was 3.  I knew they took pictures of her but I never saw the spread in the paper.  What a great find.

UPDATE ON EMILEE

Happy to report good news.....
Spoke to the doctor and except for swelling which is still on the front lobe and will recede as the body heals all tests came back negative.

Two weeks ago Wednesday, Emilee was playing flag football in Gym class at school and she collided with another child.  Her head went into his eye.  They hit each other with such force that both kids received a concussion ( Emilee the front and back lobe and Mathew the upper right lobe)  and Mathew ( the other child) cut his eye brow open and needed stitches.  When I brought Emilee to the doctor her comment was  ' don't they play hop scotch anymore".  Emilee was checked out and sent home with the instructions to rest and no activity.  By Saturday Emilee was still suffering from bad headaches and dizziness so I brought her back to the doctor.  The told me that it was a bad concussion and had to run its course.  By Tuesday her symptoms had not changed and she was now walking leaning to the left. We went to the neurologist and he too was concerned and issued additional tests.  We went for an MRI and EEG.  Emilee had the tests back to back and I am so proud of her.  Not one complaint.  Now we just sit back and wait for the results.
