Cousin Meredith and Aunt Kathy sent us a wonderful package from England.  Emilee was so excited to receive such wonderful treasures.  We especially love the book which she brought to school the very next day.  The eiffel Tower and Snow Glob of great britain is going to school this week for show and tell.  we can not thank you enough and cant wait to see you in July.

Before Emilee came into my arms I wondered what she was going to be like.  I knew she would be beautiful -  all children are, I knew she would capture my heart - the very thought of her made me smile, but I wondered what her personality would be like. I'm convinced we are all born with our own distinct personality and it is up to a parent to enhance and develop all the wonder and life a child holds inside. I wondered if she would be shy, outgoing, spunky, a tomboy...  It didn't matter but I wondered anyway.  A few days ago i was working on Emilee's 4 year photo book and realized my child is more than a one dimensional word that describes her.  She is a cornucopia of so much more. To know her is to truly love her.  She is loving, kind, smart and very inquisitive.  There is nothing shy about her.  she will go up to anyone to talk to them about anything.  ( a far cry from the child that didn't say a word until after her third birthday-  boy did she make up for all her silence)  She has an incredible vocabulary and knowledge of so many topics that she amazes me.  Emilee is very elegant and moves like the wind.  She is my princess who loves to play dress up, put on make up and wear anything that sparkles. ( she insists that pink is not a color its an attitude) Emilee loves to dance and at times shes to float when she walks. She is always singing and coming up with songs " She wrote herself". As much as she loves playing the princess, she is also part Tomboy.  A child who loves to jump, climb, pounce in puddles and get dirty.  She loves sports and is a natural at them.  She is also very serious and gets so into what she is doing that she often forgets to smile while she is focused on the goal.  Did i mention she is competitive. And i say that in the strongest sense. But when its over win or loose she is just happy to play. Her imagination is incredible.  She is forever writing down stories and songs she wrote and loves to recite them back to anyone who will listen to them.  Most of the times they are about far away lands, princesses and princes, dragons and dinosaurs. They always have a hero and a villain and justice always prevails.  Ah, the mind of a child.  its so innocent and pure.  I wish i could bottle her at this moment forever.
