Survivor Costa Rica
My cousin Natalie and I had heard about this amazing Canopy adventure through the rain forest and decided that this was what we wanted to do. The Canopy Tour offers a tree top tour above the rain forest. You are hooked up by harness to cables and you literally swing from tree to tree. Its one of the most exhilarating and adrenaline pumping experiences. As we soared through the tops of the trees you could look down and see rivers, waterfalls and marsh underneath. The only glitch, was that it poured the entire time.
But if we thought that the Canopy Tour would be the only adventure that day we were wrong. The ride to get to the Congo Trail was an experience in itself. We were picked up from our resort in an old 4X4. (In the car we met our other swingers for the day. Tony, Cora and Fred. They truly made the experience even more enjoyable.)
The road ( if you can call it that) was an experience in itself. For about an hour we discovered Rural Costa Rica. A road that time forgot. At points we were vertically going up a mountain ( where at one point our truck stalled and we went rolling backwards down the hill), through rivers, in ditches, and over rocks.
occasionally we had traffic. Local Cattle would take over the road and they would have to be mushed away.
By the time we returned back to the hotel, we were covered in mud, shaken and stirred, but happy to have accomplished our adventure.

Were back at the pool. AGAIN

River Boat Cruise

We took a River Boar Cruise through the Palo Verde Nationa Park. This wildlife sanctuary has a rich ecosystem that combines rivers, marshland, mangroves and dry forest. We also went to the Tempisque river, the most importsnt river in Guanacaste. It was here that we say a variety of birds, monkeys, crocodiles and iguanas. Sorry there are not too many pictures from this trip. Most of my footage is on Video tape.
