EMILEES FIRST SLEEP OVER
This past weekend Emilee had her first sleepover. I had to go into the hospital for an operation so she slept over her Nana's house. She was so excited about it. For three weeks straight she kept asking is tonight the night over and over again. finally i just circled the date on the calendar and she would constantly go over to it and count down the days. she had her bags packed for a week. She looked like she was leaving on a boat to Europe and had to pack for a month of every occasion. She constantly told me what she was going to do and play. Then the day came and before Nana even pulled into the driveway she was already in the car, buckled up and ready to go. They had a great day. there was a carnival at the park Avenue armory and they spent the afternoon going on rides and playing games. Emilee even won a purple monkey. They ended the day with a puppet show that was performing at a local park. Then it was out to dinner and a phone call good night ( In which which Emilee sounded so happy on and didn't want to talk to me because she was having too much Fun) Natalie told me they watched a Princess Barbie movie and fell asleep. I though wow, for her first sleepover she did good. Then 1am rolled by and Emilee woke up in tears. She wanted to go home. They called me and I tried to calm her down. She told me wanted to come home and go back tomorrow. ( problem was I had to be in the hospital at 5am) After about 30 minutes she finally calmed down and Natalie convinced her that they would say up all night, do arts and crafts and have a real sleepover with no sleep. Emilee seemed to like the idea and she stayed up until 5am finishing a Craft project that Nana had given her before finally falling asleep. The two slept the better part of the morning, go up went to breakfast and then to the pottery place a few blocks from Nana's apartment. After completing her beautiful sparkly Purple unicorn the went to the park where they were face painting and making balloons and then back home to play games. ( The above pictures are the ones nan took throughout the days)
I can not thank Natalie enough for everything. It was great piece of mind knowing that Emilee was with her and that she was safe and secure. They two of them have a great bond and that's a joy to me.
The operation was successful and I am finally home and recovering. Emilee has been wonderful throughout the entire process. She truly is an amazing child. i am so blessed.

"A child fills a place in your heart that you never knew was empty"
the life you will live,
I think of the pleasure
your presence will give.
I see the joy your smile will light
and the wonders you'll weave
when your dreams take flight.
I feel the hope
that will grow with your grace
and the difference you'll make
to each heart you embrace.
I imagine your life
as I know it will be;
for, my daughter,
you've given
all this to me.
