Celebrating the Autumn Moon

On Friday the Chinese Scholar Gardens held an Autumn Moon Festival. It was a wonderful night filled with Chinese Culture Demonstrations, Food and Lanterns. Emilees favorite part of the night was when the young Chinese Dancers performed the traditional Lantern Dance.( There are two Chinese Cultural Centers near my house and they teach Dancing, Language, Chinese crafts and Calligraphy. They begin admitting students at age 4. I already have Emilees name on the list.) The highlight of Emilees night was when she was presented her own paper lantern. She was so proud of it and she walked around the grounds swinging it back and forth.
