RAIN OR SHINE THE DAISY MEETING GOES ON

Yesterday was our first Daisy Girl Scout Meeting. As most of you know my friend Christina and I are troop Leaders. We became troop leaders because last year we realized that all our kids from Nursery and pre-k would be going to different school and we wanted to try to keep them together. All summer we prepared for our first troop year, and especially for our first meeting. We had handouts , snack, projects, and lots of fun planed. Then Murphy's law took over. we arrived at the church we are using for our meeting and the key didn't work. I called the care taker and she told me that she had the locks changed last week and forgot to tell us, but she would be back from vacation next week and give us a key. Now what. we have 10 girls coming for a meeting and no room. the parking lot to the church as a patch of grass by the parking lot so we decided to hold it there. The girls came and we all sat in our daisy ring. just was we were all about to introduce ourselves the heavens opened up and it poured. We had to laugh. thank g-d we all know each other because we really got a laugh out of it
