We've just returned from a wonderful visit to France where we met up with friends Kathy, Patrick and Meredith in Paris. Meredith is Emilees Xu Cousin. They were adopted from the same orphanage. Meredith's family was in the same travel group as us when we went to China just over a year ago. We felt an instant friendship with them when we met them in China. We have communicated via email and blogs over the past year and we even saw them in NY last November, but nothing could have been more special than spending a week with them in France. They are truly a very special family. Emilee took to them immediately. She just adopted them as do we. It was amazing to see Meredith. Pictures do her no justice. She is a beautiful, bright, happy child with a radiant smile. We first stayed on the Left Bank near the Eiffel Tower. There was a great playground just a few blocks away and the girls had a great time.
