Emilee and I saw this movie Kung Fu Panda this week and WE LOVED IT! It's really funny and has a great moral. I am not sure if the creators meant to discuss adoption and the love a parent has for a child but it is truly expressed. Po, the Panda is obviously adopted, although it is never actually stated. There is also a scene which shows Tai Lung being left on Shifu's doorstep as an infant. The main thing I loved about it was the fact that the "secret" that Po needed was revealed to him by his father. In order for Po to fulfill his destiny, which was not what his father had hoped for him, he had to be in that particular family. That destiny is written long before we are every born and that life plays out the way it is supposed to. Although Emilee did not get the meaning of family, destiny and love revealed in the movie, she love the action and Kung Fu scenes.
