Last week Emilee's class went on a field trip to see the play "The Wizard of Oz". Although it really is a great play the kids were most excited about going on a real school bus. This is all i heard about for weeks including the laundry list of rules
- NO STANDING
- NO YELLING
- NO TOUCHING THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU
- NO GETTING UP
- NO EATING
- NO HANDS OUT THE WINDOW
- WHEN THE BUSS STOPPED DO NOT GET UP UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO
The list went on and on and on. Even with all these rules they all couldn't wait to ride the bus. When I went to the school to pick her up that afternoon the bus had not returned yet so i was fortunate to see them all get off the bus. As each child filed off you would think they had just come off the greatest Roller Coaster. each has a smile on their face and a glow in their eyes. When i asked Emilee what she liked best about the day, her answer " The Bus" but when I asked why the bus was so special. She told me " It made me older"
