The day before election day, I picked Emilee up from school and the first thing she said to me was " Mom, don't forget to vote". They start indoctrinating these kids young. She then handed me this beautiful American Flag and told me that she voted today. I smiled and asked her who she voted for. Expecting to hear Obama or McCain. she cheerfully said " Pretzels".
Her class had an election to decide what snack they were going to have. Pretzels and Cupcakes. Each child had to get up in front of the class and tell why they believed their particular snack was the correct choice. Then they each went behind a curtain one at a time and voted. I asked Emilee if her choice won. She said " No, we had Cupcakes"....
