SUNSHINE TODAY, SNOW TOMORROW

The weather in new York has been crazy all summer. In fact I'm not sure if we even had a summer. It rained most of May, June and July. When it wasn't raining it was either scorching hot or unusually cold. Its been so odd i never even did NY usual fall/summer clothes switch. There were times in the middle of summer we were all dressed in Fall clothes and the next day it was so hot all you could do was stay in the pool or indoors. The last week has been cool , the trees have started turning and the wind in the air felt like Autumn was about to come. After about seven straight days of cool weather i decided to start to pack up Emilee's Summer clothes and take her new Autumn wardrobe out of the spare closet and into her. No sooner than It was all done, Monday came. And with Monday came 80+ degree weather and sunshine. Ugg!!!! Thank G-d I decided to keep a few summer things in a spare draw. When Emilee woke up and saw the sunshine she immediately asked to go to the beach. ( my daughter is such a beach baby) I told her after school we would go to the beach and she could not be happier. In fact I was told by her teacher that was all she spoke about that day. As she ran from the school door to my arms she hugged me tight and squealed " Mama let go to the beach". That's exactly what we did. it was a perfect beach day. Sun with just a bit of wind. The waves were a bit rough, but the sound was delightful. We splashed on the shore, collected seashells and built sandcastles. A perfect beach day with my daughter. Pure Paradise.
