Emilee loves to read her books out loud. She especially loves when there is an audience and she thinks she is the teacher reading to her class. It seems nowadays everything that we play revolves around school and school activities. She thinks teaching is the greatest profession and adores her teachers. Everyday when i pick her up she cant wait to tell me what she learned and pretend she is the teacher teaching me the lesson. I love the way she explains things breaking it down and paying attention to details. She goes to a great school and they have an incredible staff. Everyday when she comes out of school with the biggest smile on her face and a story to tell i know i picked the right school.
Yesterday she wanted to read a book to my Mom and i. She told us to sit down, which we did and then told us " to turn off our phones and electronic devices". I wanted to laugh. We go to a lot of plays so i think she is combining school and theater together. Just to play along I raised my hand and asked her why we had to shut off our phones. Her answer. " So we are not interrupted and we can concentrate". How cute is that.
