work it girl
A few weeks ago Emilee had her Holiday dance Show for her dance School. Usually during recitals the girls are very serious. it was delightful watching them in a more relaxed mode enjoying the Holiday Music and inspired dance. Emilee's group did " Grandma Got Run over By A Reindeer" in Tap. This is a new group of girls for Emilee to dance with. Due to scheduling differences Sept - Dec Emilee had to go to dance a different day and she was put in the 6-8 year old group. ( She is only 4). Emilee is a very talented dancer and very mature not to mention her height, but I wasn't sure if she could keep up. Like everything else Emilee does, she surprised all of us. In fact her dance teacher thinks she is a very advanced tapper for her age and experience. Emilee misses her old dance friends who she has been with for the past 3 years so as of January she will go back to the 5-6 year old group. ( She was originally moved up a group when she first started because her dance teacher felt she was too advanced for her age level group)After the Dance Show Santa came for a visit. The kids were all so excited to see him and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Emilee wants a pogo-Stick ( check), a Yo-Yo ( check) and a real dog (well see). She also told Santa Hanukkah Harry gave her Glasses for the first night of Hanukkah in which Santa replied " Hanukkah Harry lives next door to him in the North pole". Good to know when we sent out Thank You cards....
